REPORT
The year 2023 is a key milestone in the implementation of the Paris Agreement. New challenges emerge for global green and low-carbon energy transition, including energy security concerns, zero-carbon economy transition, and climate risks etc. The energy system is in urgent need of an inclusive, just and resilient transformation.
Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) represents an interconnected, intelligent and efficient multi-energy coordination system dominated by clean energy and centering on electricity. Guided by the GEI theory, the report puts forward "Based on GEI solution, coordinating three synergies, and promoting triple transitions, to achieve the global carbon neutrality goal", that is, implementing GEI carbon neutral solution, for the coordination between clean energy and fossil fuels, energy and industry, and energy and meteorology, and promoting inclusive, just and resilient transition of energy system, to achieve the goal of global carbon neutrality.
